Bio
Nicholas Lord received his MFA in both fiction and nonfiction writing from The New School, New York City, where he was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Originally from Western Australia, Nicholas studied English at both the University of Melbourne and the University of Western Australia before he pursued his writing career in New York. His work has appeared in local, national, and international journals, where he has written about everything from Hemingway's Cuba to the quirks of foreign legislation. In 2019, Lord was a finalist for the Hazel Rowley Prize for first-time biographers. He now lives with his husband in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, where he remains an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and seeks to write the untold stories of queer history.
